The ReCreators

Ruru Toy Making, Te Atatu Peninsula Community Centre, 6 July 10-12pm

In this workshop, kids (aimed at 8-12) and parents/guardians will learn how to sew and make a cute Ruru toy.   The ReCreators will teach the blanket, running and hidden seam stiches as well as how to make templates and finalise your designs.  Choose from a diverse range of fabrics and decorations.  Parents are welcome to help for children aged 5-8. 

The ReCreators are on a mission to show the world how to reduce and reuse our natural resources.  Its easy, fun, creative and sustainable.  Join us on our journey.  

Our wood is sourced using offcuts and discarded fabric, buttons and other decorations. 

When: Monday 6 July, 10-12.00

Where: Te Atatu Peninsula Community Centre, 595 Te Atatu Peninsula Road.
